Is this guy related to Ezra Lusk?? Little brother maybe??

Terrible shame,.... these guys are really pushing the limits. The backflip was untouchable not too long ago ya know.....

He missed it, didn't pull it around - but thats not a foam pit.

Any more news on the actual injury etc etc and when did this happen??

Man, he either broke his neck or broke his back when he landed. His head was bent over backwards when he landed. Ride Free.

I believe he is Ezra's younger brother. Sad, sad thing to have happen.

IMHO the back flip has pretty much ruined FMX by turning into one giant back flip contest. They used to get so much more creative before the back flip came about. Now its just "lets see what variation of the back flip I can do now". I'm not trying to take away from the talent these guys have but its like watching your favorite band play the same song over and over with just a couple of lyrics or guitar riffs changed each time.

R.I.P. Jeremy.

it looked like his head touched his back

and they should of left his helmet on instead of taking it off right away

Why don't these guys wear a neck brace? I'm pretty sure that the local flat tracks around here all require it. It might not have saved him but it sure wouldn't have hurt.

They can't move there head properly. It would limit there ability to line up there landings. Makes the movement of the head restrictive.

Allot different from sitting in a car.

Sorry but thats bullshit. There are plenty of riders wearing the Leatt brace without any movement restrictions or issues. Some people do have problems, but there are TONS of people that dont. The saddest thing is that due to sponsorships requirements by gear COs like Thor, Answer, TLD, etc. etc. you cannot wear any type of gear that isn't theres, and none of them offer a neck brace equivalent to the Leatt. Thats the big reason you don't see more people using them.

They make you wear them at the quad/MC flat tracks actually. I didn't realize they were that restrictive.

Very sad.....It should be mandatory for FMX riders to wear the brace. This sport is as extreme as it gets. Many top outdoor mx riders are begining to wear them now, and this may give them all a serious reason to at least consider it's use. Seen very few sx riders with them however.......:wondering

I don't know what the Leatt Brace looks like, does It support the entire spin? Even If It did, I just don't know If anything could save you In a position like that with a 250 lb bike landing on you. I feel for his family

I really, cannot recommend these things enough. Lusk's passing is tragic, sad, and unnecessary. I am NOT trying to be a holier then thou and say if Jeremy had been wearing a Leatt he'd still be alive, but it would have certainly helped his chances I think given the circumstances... I have seen the Leatt braces in action numerous times, on a few occasions with close friends of mine. One in particular hit a kicker at another track local to the area here, launched his ass up high on his bike and he landed head first on the ground about 15ft past the landing. Split his $400 No Fear helmet in 3 places, including the chin bar area. He was very bruised and sore around the areas that the Leatt brace transferred the energy from the impact and his neck movement, but he got up and drove him. And He'll tell you that brace saved his life any time of day. The whole thing with the Leatt brace is it limited the motion of the neck, and when it tries to exceed that, it forces the pressure down on your collar bones and other sources in that area. Better to have a broken collar bone dislocated shoulder then a broken neck.

Seriously guys, if your going to be doing riding that warrants a chest protector, you should have one of these as well.

I would for sure like to have those for my kids. The riding & jumping we do I think It would be great. I seriously doubt that would have saved Jeremy though.
