My biggest crappie yet!!

My buddy and i were ice fishing the weekend before last and were doing pretty well with bluegill. So i threw a minnow on my extra pole and after a few minutes this is what i brought up. It was the only crappie we caught and the biggest crappie i've ever caught. I know down south they get big. But up here this is considered a nice fish. A bit over 13" and a touch over 1lb!:beer The fellets were slabs, and tasted sooo good.:naughty:

i have cought them n the 15-17 inch range here localy and average is 10-12 damn nice fish too

I had to make sure this was a fish post....Thought maybe you eat some French food for valentines:lol: We got a ton of them around our lakes locally. Some guys flat bottom boat fish with bows and string...pretty cool. what test:naughty:

We have some up here in the Snake River. When they are running you don't even need bait to catch them. Best part- no limit.

forty pound test no fightin belt I run a charter boat for a livin so I guess you could say I kinda cheated cause I do it all the tim

I could tell you about that one time I tied 4o pound test around my hand, tied on an alligator hook, and put a hot dog on it as a joke.

I dropped it in the water and it IMMEDIATELY got grabbed by about a 16 pound Blue Cat.....NEVER AGAIN. I've never been laughed at so hard in my life.

Nice fish. Love catching crappie. I had my Big Red out on its maiden run on the lake with my bro. Caught a bunch of bluegills, and a good buzz!!!

Nice looking crappie! My favorite to eat, and one of my favorite to catch. We have some real monsters in our farm pound, usually throw those back though..
