Check out this air R. Has a hondaline 300 kit, looks like maybe a kerker exhuast? cant tell but color of silncer sticker looks like it. Extended axle, durablue swinger, highflight desert seat, super scoops, and if you look close it has a stering stableizer.

Tha is a very nice bike with some cool parts, but those super scoops look nothing like my NOS ones, and I dodnt think you could get the 250R scoops in shiny finish, just the old dull finish.. Those look like 200x scoops made to fit.. The 200x and 250r scoops are very close but not the same... The ones on that bike are wide at the top and the 250r ones are not.. On the one side it hangs pretty low and on the other its cut for the pipe..

Very neat! I didn't look at the auction before as I thought it was one of them new fangled liquid cooled beasties.

I am already bidding on it! :w00t:

But, I know nothing about a 250r or all the rare goodies that you speak of.

I was just wanting a 3 wheeler faster than my 250 Big Red.

that's not a Hi-Flite seat.. that's a Mark Weixeldorfer(sp?) WAX-ON seat.

The extended axle looks like wheel spacers. See how it tapers. My +4 is "fat" all the way to the hubs

How can you tell its a WAX ON seat?

My guess would be to read the back of the seat ;) lol

So, do you all think this is a good bike to buy? What do you think that it will sell for?

Without riding it and seeing it in person hard to say. For example what does the owner know about 2 strokes. A rattling jug might sound fine to him/her. Way to vague. Lousy pics for one. Never liked auctions with no close ups. Also email the seller and get the "story".

I have a feeling the price is going to skyrocket at the last minute.

Well I won the auction but, I have gotten the following e-mail from the seller after the auction was over:

"hi im so sorry but i tried to cancel your bid but the bike was sold to a family at last minute"

So has anyone ever had a seller refuse to sell after an auction is over? What can I do about it?

Thanks,

KillerBox

File a dispute with ebay. When he listed it it was a binding contract. Besides that I dont think there is much else you can do.

Maybe he didn't like the ending price.

Maybe he didn't like the ending price.

He should have paid extra for a reserve price then.

Yah, just didn't like what it sold for. Auctions are legal contracts. File a report with ebay to get people like this off of there.

Didn't daddio just have this same problem... with an aircooled 250r head??

What did Daddio do about it? Did he finally get the stuff he won?

That is truly ucked up! If i had not JUST bought another brute force i would have bid on it. The bike is literally 45 min away from me. I would have paid 800 whatever jus for another 300r engine. i have parts to redo another one. The guy would be getting a vist! I hate bullshitters!

I'll send him a message and tell him I'd love to buy that fire truck, but since you burned a friend of mine on a three wheeler I'll buy another fire truck.

I got the following e-mail from the seller of this 250r:

i had the bike for local sale also and it sold for 1,300..00. i was trying to cancel your bid so i don't understand why you would leave a negitive feedback i explained to you what happened i sold the bike a couple of hours before the auction was over. i would be grateful if you took off that negitive comment. my husband went to jail so i never used ebay so i didnt know how it worked so can you give me a break.my kids and i are just trying to servive while hes gone. thank you.

I then won another auction for a 1986 250r this weekend and now that seller is backing out of the deal also. I guess it is not in the cards for me to buy any 3 wheeler faster than my "Big Red 250es"
