hello my friends...for a lot of time now i am rebuilding my tecate 3 and now i want to sare it with you.....

my mistake was that i don't have any pics from the old days...to saw you how it was and how it will be....

hey thats an 87 rear caliper... hmmmm, sure its an 86? what does the clutch lever look like?

Hey man, Im sure your gonna put an aftermarket pipe on it... what do you have in mind? I plan on getting an 87 in the next few months, It has a cal fab swing arm, Jimmy White Shock,a +4 durablue axle, and it has a KX 250 pro cicuit pipe with an FMF power core silencer, Kx 250 ignition (it makes it rev faster),38 mm Keihin carb....and new oem fenders... i must say it looks nice and rides effin awesome...i need to get it before it ever gets sold..im a little paranoid about it cause it has all that stuff on it.....

scooterroo i am not sure for the 86 or 87 but when i bought it in 1995 the seller told me that it is an 86 model...i am not sure then for nothing....is there a way to know for sure?

In the picture that shows the caliper it looks like the parking brake cable holder is still mounted to the lower strut bolt. I bet its a 87!!!! Just ride it, I'd love to see another 87 T3 rider out there!!

Man it looks like its coming along very nicely! I just about finished my tecate build, even though I didnt take that much detail into building it. I built it to ride and blast around so those extra details I just threw out haha. Very nice build so far and look forward to more pics.

I saw that you have a new front tire?I cant find nothing here in greece...

There are a couple of choice for the front tire. Check on www.denniskirk.com and you'll find some. They are a pretty large company so I'm confident that they'll be willing to ship internationally. I know the the Kenda Front Max is a popular and reasonably priced choice. Personally, I liked the Dunlop that the ATC250R came with but that has been recently discontinued.

Yes, that one among a few others. A Dunlop KT151 is a 22" tire that is available on an 11" rim:

It will get the front end a little lower and give you a little less sidewall for better handling. It'd probably be great if there isn't a lot of rocks where you ride, if you ride really rocky terrain then you want to stick with either a 23", 23.5", or 24" tall tire. I have the Kenda you pictured on the front of my 350X and I'm not entirely happy with it. I think that this Cheng Shin 23.5 might be a little better all around tire:
