Yes, that frame was built to take a yamaha r5, rd350 or rd400 engine. They even made those frames with engine mounts to fit a kawasaki h2 750
2-stroke triple!

"goos engine, were here fast," WTF??? Those engines are 2 stroke 2 cylinder. Pretty much the grandfather of the Blaster, I believe is the right model, or whatever the 2 cylinder 350cc liquid cooled yamaha quad is. They are quite respectable for what they are. Way too fast for a hardtail frame though. Those old frames like that were mainly for duneshooters. Some people used them as drag trikes. The great thing about those frames is that they had alot of room in them, meaning they could take several different engines and have no clearance problems. If you knew someone who could fab you up some different engine mounts, you could put alot of different engines in there. Like I said, they used that exact frame, but changed the engine mounts for a kawi h2 750 2-stroke triple engine. But remember that the trike is still a hardtail. Those old frames usually fit honda atc90/110 rear fenders and used the honda 185 rear bearing carriers and axle. Sometimes they used honda atc90/110 fuel tanks and sometimes they had no tank mounts and you had to use your own. That is really the start of what could be a crazy hardtail trike. If you do a search, you can find pics on here of a rd400 trike that is really nice and there is a pic or 2 of my suspension rd350 that the frame was built by the same company.

Hard to put a value on the trike as a whole. That engine is probably shot and you don't know what kind of shape the tranny is in either. No idea what the bearings are like. The parts are easy enough to get though. And if you knew a really great welder and fabricator, you could put almost anything in it. Maybe $400-$500 tops the way it sits. Fixed up? You can sink some money into one of those real fast depending on the engine you used. A good running rd350 or rd400 engine could cost you anywhere from $500 to $1000 and everything else that you had to put in it with seat, fenders, tank bearings, rear axle, wheels and tires you could sink some real money into it for it to look real nice. But they were the real OG HotRods of their time. If you could see the old dirt wheels and 3wheeling magazines, those rd trikes were the hot ticket. Chromed out, crazy paint jobs and there were even stroke and bore kits for them. Some guys ran nitrous! They were off the hook. But they would be scary in anything but sand or a straight line.

He just told me that the buyer backed out so it is for sale for $200. Good deal for someone but the 500 mile drive, i think i am going to pass on it. Unless someone is close to it to pick it up for me. Then i can come get it from them whenever
