I recently purchased a 87 honda cr 250r (2-stroke)...I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what of oil kind (weight, brand, ect.) to use. Not mixing oil, but oil for the components in the crank???
Also I have no idea how much i should put in. The plug on the side of the crank case unscrews and i can see the gear's but there is no specification.
I ordered a manuel but have'nt got it yet. I'm mechaniclly declined on some things. Anything will be helpful, thanks.

i dont know about your year but most newer bikes have a bolt that goes into the clutch cover you unscrew that bolt then fill until the oil starts coming out of it. i would post a pic of that but my bike isnt here right now most the time the bolt is closer to the front of the bike about 1/3 the way up from the bottom and not on the edge (near the center of the clutch cover)
