Just picked up two mountain bikes. An 06 Specialized P2 Cromoly and an 05 Kona Stuff. The Kona is in awsome shape, needs nothing and the Specialized needs a little love.

What the Specialized needs most is an 8-speed derailleur that can mount on horizontal dropouts. (BMX style dropouts) Stock derailleur is supposed to be a Sram X5 (short cage) but I have no idea how it mounts! HELP!?

Where ya gonna put the motor too? lol
Nice bikes tho. I can't help ya at all either. Do you try calling Bill's Cycle Shop here in town? When I use to trail ride about 10 years ago he was always very helpful and answer all our questions. Even opened the shop after hours for us to get parts once.

Nope but I intend to call around in the morning. Thanks! Did you see that nice looking 86 350X that sold on NLClassifieds?

Riding these makes me understand just how out of shape I am compared to just a couple years ago when I rode nearly every day.

Ya the 350x was nice. And a liquid R just sold for like $275 on there aswell. My 84 250r's on there now. Guy we sold it too lost the motor.
I wouldn't be able to run the length of myself now, have alone go to far on the bikes. But nice way to get back into shape.

the p2 is sick! I got the norco 250 instead, but it was a very hard choice. are you going to make it single speed? the p2 is a jumper by all means, the other is a trail bike. also it looks like somebody made it single speed.

Nice choice, I like the 250. The P2 is already setup as a singlespeed but I want to change it back to an 8 speed.

DMR makes a chain tug with the built in derailleur mount. Going to pick one up.

I have a RaceFace stem, Truvativ bars, Avid Juicy 3 brakes and some Renthal grips coming for it now.
