I think those Ford edge's are pretty sweet looking for a hatchback [I have a dodge caliber, also a hatchback :)] What kind of upgrades can you get for it? or are you going to keep it stock?

I agree, I don't know how these manufactures can justify putting such a high price tag on these cars, when they are made so cheaply. It's no suprise to me that Dodge filed for chapter 11 a few days ago.. Who's next?

thought you sold that dodge a wile ago and bought a red Chevy HHR.. not shure what too believe anymore..how about a pic of the title with the name on it.

its great that you can afford a new vehicle, but why the ford edge instead of the f-150? As stated before in this thread why a chick car? or is it something to haul your kids around? either way no big deal.

Well I am going with a silver double pinstripe down the side. Follows the contour line just below the door handle. A bug deflector, rain guards for the windows, Borla SS exhaust cat back system. Maybe have it flash programed, Cold air kit. It got plenty of nut! 270 hp. This car is close as you can get to high end luxury CUV like a Infinity G CUV.

so, whats the point? If I wanted horse power I would have bought a 2003 SVT Cobra.... And the funny part is that you could have got it for the same price.

Plus we didn't want to spend$25,000 for an extended cab and get crappy gas millage.

My Credit score is In the high 700's. They are only giving loans to people with excellent credit these day. Ow ya, I got it for 0 interest!!!!!

I now see why you got it. I think a honda odyssey would have been cooler though, and the funnny thing is that dealerships are almost giving them away

Caravans are a thing of the past. I want any one of you haters to take one of these vehicle for a test drive and tell me what you think of it. I am pretty sure you will have a change of mind. I'm sure if any one of you owned it you would think it the best thing sense sliced bread.

The thing fing handels better than the Mustang I test drove. Mustang Weights: curb weight (lbs) 3,356

The EDGE Curb Weight: 4,098 lbs

Most american cars are made in mexico and canada these days. Some of the Nissans I sell are more american than a lot of what the big 3 has to offer anymore. Sad really. I'm lucky my Ram was made in Missouri. Most of the new ones on the last Dodge lot I worked were all made in Mexico.

I stand corrected... I said my car was a "hatchback"... referring to the door in the back and what-not, And I was told it wasn't and I was misrepresenting my car [some goof named AutoXer *cough cough*] well excuse me!!

This is definitely a very funny thread though, :D Made me laugh out loud literally, haha

This thing is so high from the ground you need a handle for the rear passengers and probably even a Nissan Versa has more space behind the driver seat.

I will at the first sign of mechanical problems. Why you need some parts?

racerxxx
05-01-2009, 10:20 PM
We looked at them, like it alot, but for the same or less I could have got a Chevy Trailbalzer SS with way more HP and looks to boot. Then realized the kids will eventually trash the sides with bikes and toys so we opted to keep the current vehicle. As far as Dodges, I love my 01 Dodge Ram Cummins Turbo:twisted: , 500 miles to a tank, towing power-no problem, and it currently has 198,000 miles, with oil changes and regular maint, no complaints. I understand the fuel mileage concern, but I don't mind poor fuel mileage, I've never had anything that got over 17 MPG, except the wife's ride.

I really liked the VISTA roof on the edge, Good luck with it!

Not really fond of the styling on the Edge, personally I think they are extremely ugly. As far as riding/driving, very very nice vehicle. Only issue I've seen mechanically so far is they seem to eat up rotors& the factory tires suck, good luck getting much more than 15K out of them. Should've waited another year or two til they make the direct injected turbo version...something like 350 horse.
