interesting article on social networking sites. I use it but for keeping in touch with actual FRIENDS from college and high school. I see others use it as a popularity barometer and a vehicle to fill their empty lives. For example: Update trolling---put out some inane stupid update like a fish line and hope you get "hits" after awhile of "bites" the original poster is back, with a different tone, as if he/she is happy now for all the attention. The whole thing is effin creepy.

I’m still not sure how to log on to FB. Mr. Clean is my only FB friend no one else recognizes me. Apparently I have 23,634 friends, but I’ve never heard of them. For the record I now think the Bookface is ultimately detrimental to mankind. It has afforded people the ability to keep in touch and meet new people, yes, but I feel like there are a lot of adverse effects from using social media. From depression to mind control to controlling the masses. I'll pop on there every few months to check in with people, but I am no longer pro-Facebook.

I deleted my Facecrack page a couple years ago and I have so much more free time and find myself to be alot less irritated and disappointed as a result.

My family was upset but our relationship is actually better since because we have a more one-on-one interaction rather than generic "likes" or standard public comments

I quit Instagram once Facecrack bought them out and along came the censorship police and leftist career trolls

I liken it to when I quit smoking.

I like it for most part. Keeps me in touch with distant relatives and old school buddies and what is going on in their lives. As far as social media. That is about it. I don't Tweeter. I have a Instagram account. Hardly ever use it.

The newer 'Marketplace" is cool. Found some good deals. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
