Year i.d. help

I just picked up a trx300 fw j-t and the 8 digit is rubbed off. How can i tell the year? Engine numbers?

the 10th digit is the year also look on front of the frame under the front fenders honda also has stickers saying the year and model.

I meant 10th. The 10th-14th are rubbed off and the sticker too

if you can read the numbers on the motor call a local honda dealer and they can tell you the year it is.
