Polaris Scrambler Questions??

I recently picked up a 98 Scrambler 400 4x4 real cheap and have a question or two. Its set up to run premix, what should the ratio be? Does oil go in the crankcase? Im thinking no since it has a seperate gear box.

32:1 just like all the other 2 strokes I had a 250 years ago that I ran like that and it ran great, no oil other then the gearbox

your gonna have some fun on that thing (when your not workin on it)....ive got a '99 2wd 400 with a dg exhaust, as far as i know thats all thats been done to it, its pretty quick, id say its the best donut machine

I got it for $200 and the guy said the motor was locked up. I found a clip from the recoil stuck between the flywheel and stator. It started right up last night!!! I'll post some pics later. Its said to have alot of AAEN parts like big bore kit, carb, reed cage, pipe, porting, ect. I know it has the pipe and carb but im not pulling hte head right now to see whats inside.

i put 40:1 in my 2 strokes and they run good

just unloaded mine 10 min ago for a grand....got tired of working on it, seems like those quads are just one problem after another

40/1 is fine , oil does go into your case but its just for the counterbalancer , look for the dipstick under the carb , it doesnt take much use 10/30
