Was it you that won it? I have been around this stuff for years and have never seen an ad in a magazine or anything for one of those. Definately looks like a extremely rare piece to me.

Holy crap, look at that! A casted aluminum swingarm! I've never seen an Arm like that before in my years of look at this stuff. Very interesting...

The way its shaped it looks to be a long travel arm too, maybe designed for the Baja? Or maybe to lowwer it for flat track? Way ahead of its time... And no its not mine if i had the cash it would have been..

Nice vintage piece but I don't know how much I would trust a cast swingarm. It may be rare for a reason. It looks pretty grainy and would probably break pretty easily.

Just to give you guys an update on this swinger and the story behind it. I now have it on my 82R, and it is very sweet. It's actually a +3. Very stable and strong. Along with the Works shock I have on it makes an unbelievable upgrade to the first gen R. Here's the story behind it: It's a Terry Cable product. I talked to Mr Cable himself. He said that back in the day alot of local riders/racers were beating him up to make a good extended swinger for the 1st gen that was stable and strong. He said he came up with this design and sent the specs to a machine shop that made helicopter parts. They made a run of about 65-75 as he recalls. Well under 100. I've been searching and haven't seen any other ones like this. Anywy, I thought you might be interested in the story behind it.
