Safe to store gas..

Just curious wether or not it is "safe" to store gas in a 2l pop bottle for a short period of time, ( a few hours max). Reason being, i live in BFNW and i plan to drive my scooter, ( yes, im only young) to a friends house wich is more than a gas tank away, (curse that small tank), and in BFNW, there are little to no gas pumps.

Instead use a real jerrycan straped to your rear rack. That way you will be legal and no one will take a drink from it.

Believe me, i have thought of that, but this scooter doesnt have much of a rack, ill snap a few pictures so you might be able to understand. It is illeagal to carry gas in a pop bottle?

You could strap a little 1 gallon can to that rack I bet

no serioulsy though a little gas can is a btter idea but ive put gas in nearly anything to get by with

20 oz bottles
coke cans....lol
milk jug
tupperware
32 oz 711 big gulp (before styrofaom) with no lid! lol!
sobe bottle
oil bottle
5 gal bucket


it all works just some places might not be to happy seeing you fill a 2 litre up !

haha, well, if i was able to fill up every now and again from the pumps, i wouldnt bring along any gas, but seeing as i live in the middle of BFNW ( for those of you who don't know what that is, its but fkuc no wheres :D) there is one gas station in my entire "town" if you cna even call it that, haha.

Much safer and available at any store 2.5 gallon capacity. That should take your little scooter about anywhere.

Gas is flammable and explosive as all hell no matter WHAT you put it in.

REAL gas cans don't vent either and also expand when in sunlight.

I wouldn't hesitate to use a 20oz or liter plastic container in a pinch. Just be careful with it and if it builds up pressure, vent it (just not while your smoking out of your bong :D)

Let me guess, this is all to go see a chick isn't it :lol: I use to drive my BMX bike further than I even like to drive for a chance at some tail :D

I say no to the pop bottle. if you tip over... the cap brakes and you got a heck of a mess. It only takes a second for you to be on the phone and a visiting kid unstraps it and starts chugging. If you choose to, make sure its marked. you could mount whatever you choose and rig it to feed your current gas tank with a little fuel line

haha, not exactly to see A chick, ;). Prom party is coming up! And yeh, i guess ill probably end up goign to Canadian tire and spending some of my old moldy. And yeh, it is a 50R! :D about 8000km on the original top end too.
