trying to find a source for either a replacement trx90ex plastic tank or an oem tank?

I think I can get the plastics at cost, but the tank is 180 bucks from honda...and that's a bit much.

Well I managed to get the bike...what engine should I put into it.

I don't think that any of the vertical fourstrokes will fit in her. But I have it on good authority that nearly all two strokes will fit.

so yeah...engine choices are as follows

Big ass lifan
honda 250r
kawi kx250

I'm leaning toward the honda engine, simply because they are cheaper than the kx....

Get the tank off ebay.

The TRX90 racing scene has some nice engines, they can build nice 125s or them. A 250 might be scary. You would want to build up the suspension for sure. The stock suspension sucks. DiamondJCustoms make some good affordable upgrades

thanks for the info...I think I'm gonna go with all new honda plastics and tank...the ones that are the new 450r style.

I'll certainly check out diamondjcustoms

yep, that's an old one...it's can't really do anything besides go straight...I think an ant hill would break that sucker in half.

I wanna go fullsize

300ex is nice...but I'll swap swingers too, which means fab work...and if I'm doing any, I'll be swapping 450r onto both ends.

should be a poor mans trx250r when done...

Did you come down to Ft myers and get that one?

hey bud, I did, but I had the ol lady and the dog with me. We did the trip rather fast as she had to be back for work a day earlier than I.

not to mention my check decided to not post, so rather than having money in the bank, we had to exist on the cash I had the foresight to bring. damned lucky.

well duh brappy, you don't remember putting the idea in my head standing outside your house.

this one will be tweaked with a fullsize suspension. low and wide though, perfect little runner for the gravel roads around here....regardless of what certain unimaginative members like to spout off.

I have a ported big valve head that would work on a trx90 motor with a 125 topend. head cam valves 250$ its new

sorry rick...this one has to be one of a kind.

I have decided that if I don't buy a quad for the gf to ride, I will be somehow getting a 200cc 4 poke in here.

All projects are currently on hold though as I have to pay LSU 2700 dollars within two weeks...only to have them pay me twice that within two months. All because some ignorant woman told me I didn't need to fill out the fasfa anymore. I'm never believing a word that comes out of their mouths ever again. I swear that college hires nothing but rejects.

I'd love to do the kx250 engine, but apparenlty it vibrates worse than the world.

So it's looking like a 250r motor... but only if I pick up a new Big Bear or a 2000 trx300 4x4

seeing that someone has already done this... I've decided to take it just a bit further. Not starting anything until spring though.
