The Devil's Backbone usually referred to in here is the one hill at Haspin Acres. There is another one in the west, (Utah?) which is like a whole mountain, and a whole different story. Which one are you asking about?

Ya, Does anyone have a pic of Devil's Backbone at Haspin? I've seen the one out west in just about every 4x4 magazine (one issue had pics of someone falling off it  )

The one in Utah is called Lions Back, i think. It's in Moab. On Real TV or any show similar one to it, shows a blazer that losts it's brakes going down that hill.

Tim Sr and myself are the only ones from 3ww that have done it.MIK6 did it on foot and I think he had more trouble than Tim and me.To be honest I didnt think it was that much of a challenge. It is VERY steep and covered with rocks, boulders and tree roots. There is a movie clip of me on the backbone on the Trikefest 03 CD.I will post some pics when I get on my PC at home. Pictures dont do it justice though.

I saw that. Also there was one where a truck fell off while turning around on the top.

BillXR,I dont want to start a big debate here.I only saw you riding on the top section. There is a starting point at the bottom wayyyy down by the wrecked cars.If you were down at the bottom,I missed it. I have to give you credit though b/c you were riding on some pretty steep and rocky terrain with that big 650 beast. Next time I will show everyone another trail that leads to the bottom of the backbone. It is an almost dry streambed that has nothing but jagged and loose rocks sticking up out of the ground. Its also in a small gorge so the only way thru is by going over the rocks.Personally I think its more challenging then the backbone.

3WheelsForever is correct my friend Chris went up it from the mid way point and I came up the side from the mid point. Jim you're definatly right, the pics on the cd don't do the backbone justice.

I walked to the botom to take some pictures of Zjim riding it. Do I get credit???? LOL. It is steep down there, It was a workout getting back up, I think I needed a nap when I was done. The TF03 disk has all the pictures I took from down there.

It was closed when they closed the majority of the dunes. it didnt have anyting to do with the bird. some of my friends cut the fince and we drove back there. It is HUGE and STEEP we went up the back side and snow borded down it.
