I also have an 83 that needed a master cylinder, bought a rebuid kit (master cylinder, seals, etc.) but it was for the rear. u may need a front, which is different. in regards to bleeding, buy a mityvac brake bleeding kit (http://www.amazon.com/Mityvac-MITMV8.../dp/B000FUMWTM) cheap imo
