Picking up a 83 ATC 70 with the Accessories Plus frame & suspension.Suspension needs stiffer springs.Has anyone done this mod? Thanks guys
I put on an 82 ATC 250 Rear shock, the eye length was right, i had to adjust the preload nut ALL the way in to get it to clear the rear brake stay arm. I LOVE how it works, I weigh around 200 pounds and it was a marshmellow before installing it. You will need to shim the shock bolts upper and lower as it is slightly narrower. Washers will do fine. These shocks are CHEAP on ebay, i just zip tied the remote reservoir to the subframe. Enjoy! As a kid here in California, I raced for Accessories Plus (A+) in the mid and late '80s. I had first the 70, then the later KX60 conversion. I am desperately looking for one for myself and my sons. If you ever come across one or are considering getting rid of yours....I mean at all, please keep me in mind. I know I'm going to pay too much, but I am preparing for that. I did list it for sale, but youre right, the price was steep, i just cant see giving it away. I finally took down the listing and am trying to figure out if i should restore it or what i should do.
What are you looking for as far as parts go? Is yours a complete kit? I only have 1 A+, but I can help if you need pictures, maybe a template of something, etc
