Hey everyone, Im brand new to this forum, just hoping someone can help me find a fuel tank for an 85 Big Red 250es that I recently acquired. The budget im on is tight, but need this beast running asap! Ill be using it to commute to work (with my 85lb dog in tote), while my truck is out of commission. The original tank that's on there is full of rust and holes (currently sanding and jb welding the damage). Is it useless to try and repair/ clean one in such poor condition? Also, if anyone knows where to find a seat that fits, the info would be much appreciated. Thanks, A
Amazon or Ebay- tanks are made by "Wide Open" they run about $120. They are plastic so they wont rust. Ebay also for seat. They run in a huge range $65-70 on up to $200 or if you have a seat that still has the foam in tact- then you can always head to the fabric store and by some marine grade black vinyl. Get a staple gun and start stretching the new over the foam. Probably costs about $10.
