I bought awhile back a good used set of forks for my 83 bigred and I'm in the process of restoring it. My question is I want to go through the forks and check things over before I paint them and I'm wondering if anyone has input on checking these over. They dampen good but seem to have a very slight wiggle in them. I don't know if that's anything to worry about but Any input on that to would be appreciated.
Just a bump. Any input from anybody on this?
there's 2 rings and a sleeve that go in the lower tube slider as spacers between the lower tube/slider and the upper forks. One nut at the very bottom holds the lower tube slider onto the upper with the coil-over damper . You should check the grease quality in ther and probly clean thoroughly and regrease all. see parts diagram here or partzilla.com
