The old man has had his stihl for the last 18 or so years, Finally put a spark plug and cleaned the carbon out of the pipe last year, Would say it was a good buy.

I do like the ECHO and the ECHO leaf blower too.

My Ryobi 4 stroke does the trick for 100$. Would I rather have a 2 stroke? HELL YES!! That frucking string never lasts no matter how I wind it what X brand or other I purchase. I just put a steel blade on the end of the shaft and have a ball.............

own a lawn and landscape company and ive pretty much ran all the top brands and currently have stihl, echo, redmax and i prefer the stihl 4mix it uses 2 stroke fuel mix but 4 stroke motor. believe me i luv 2 strokes but it nice ru nning a weedeater and not have to run it at full trottle and still have plenty of power where you have to have the 2 stroke screaming.

i own a lawn care company, and can not stand stihl handhelds, especially four mix machines. Way to many little parts to screw up.

Go buy either an echo or a shindiawa. Both make very good smaller machines, that are commercial quality. Also buy from a dealer, not home depot. Price on echo is the same, plus you have a dealer backing you for service.

I bought a Shindaiwa with a brain head in 1992, still runs like a champ.
