    Sleds are cheap!

So I was perusing Craigslist yesterday for hookers, errrr, I mean snowmobiles, and I couldn't believe how cheap they are right now! I'd give some examples, but all you gotta do is go look yourself. My 89 Indy 500 is down to just the frame right now and the thing was worn out from top to bottom. Just think of any major component and it was wiped out. For the amount of time and money I'm putting into my sled I probly could've bought one 10 years newer and with no problems. That's just how I am though. I'll spend $1000 putting an engine in a $600 car and then drive it forever. The way I look at it, I'll have one of the nicer 89 Indy 500's around and I know what I have under me.

I just bought a JD Sportfire for $25! That's not a typo either..... $25.00..... Sure it's missing the seat & windscreen, but that's it. The motor is seized from sitting for a few years, but not like it's gonna take too much to fix. At least I hope, lol. Thinking about using all of the parts for a go kart sitting in my shop or fixing it & selling it.

i got 4 sleds for free last summer. Mind you they were from a friends uncle and i could only get one running and it took 150$ worth of parts. But i could make all that money back parting out the other 3!
