    Tecate Front wheel/tire combo

Was wondering what you guys use for a taller front wheel combo. Something like a 200x from wheel size. Also are the front rims offset or centered. Which brand of front tire is decent.

Tired of the wide fat stocker and need something a little taller and narrower. Just dont know which combo to go with. Thanks

It might look a little goofy with the wide forks and a skinny tire.

The 200x and 350x front rims work on the tecate. Thats what I have on my 87 that I built and works great. Opps I didnt see a year but I assume you are talkin about the 85. I am not sure about those, as I am currently building one. But I will find out soon, I am sure.

I was assuming you were talking about an 84/85 too. I forget what the stock tire size is, but I have always liked the stock tire size on the front.

Front rim and tire combo for 84-85 Tecate or only 84?
ITP T-9 Series 10"x8" rim, 4 on 4" bolt pattern with a 3" + 5" offset is what I just saw on a previous build thread today. I would like to look into a new front Polished rim. http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...d.php?t=101770

The Rim and Tire combo on this build looks sweet. The tire is the Tried and True Kenda Front Max. I run the Front Max on my Tecate and 200X. Real good tire.

The factory tires on those are 22x11x10. I just went out and looked at mine.

You can do what I did. I put an 86 front end on my 85 T3. It looks good and handles way better with the skinnier, taller front tire. The 86 front end is a lot lighter as well with better forks.

Don't make it seem so simple, Hoosier. Why don't you tell him what else you had to do for that mod?

Lol thats out of question anyways. I still need the rim measurments for the stock 85 t3. Is the 3+5 the correct offset? I guess i need to stop being lazy and just measure the offset for myself .
