RESULTS NOW POSTED TrikeFest MX rules / classes

    TF 2010 MX Rules:
Trikefest Moto-Cross will be held on: FRIDAY, June 25, 2010 at Haspin Acres, IN.
As always, we will be using the small MX track. This track should be open for practice all week.
MX has been moved to Friday due to scheduling conflicts with the track.

Classes are very similar to the past several years - though some have been renamed for clarity.
You may sign-up for as many classes as you wish - there is no fee to race.

Minimum REQUIRED safety equipment: Helmet, Long pants, and boots
Other recommended equipment: Goggles, long sleeved shirt or jersey, chest protector, riding gloves, and tether kill switch.

You will need to have a number plate on your three-wheeler (front and rear is recommended).
Number plates may be purchased for minimal cost at most any ATV shop.
If you do not have a number plate, you can easily make one with plastic and electrical tape.

This is a complete list of classes. Running order will be determined on race day. The order will be communicated at the riders meeting that morning.

    Unlimited Open Expert (BTC)
This is the class for top-tier trike racers. Anything flies. This is where the 500s, 450 conversions, big bores and Powervalves meet for a Battle Royale. 5 laps.

    Advanced: 2-Stroke B Class
Typically experienced 250cc two stroke racers. Previous MX racing experience is recommended. Trikes do not have to be stock, but modifications are limited to those that do not give significant advantage or displacement gains over stock, and maintain the vintage spirit of the era. 4 laps.

Novice: 2-stroke C Class – Mostly 250cc two-stroke riders with little or no MX racing experience. 3 laps.

4-Stroke Open – The class for the 350X. 3 laps.

Mid Size Suspended – Under 250cc 4 stroke, or 175cc 2 stroke with front and rear suspension such as 200X, 250SX, YTM225, etc. 3 laps.

    Semi-Suspended – Front suspension only, such as 200S, 200M, YTM200, YT175, etc. 3 laps.

    Unsuspended – Up to 125cc such as ATC70, 90, 110, YT60, YT125, ALT125, etc. 3 laps.

Senior Trike - Age 35 and up novice class. Any size trike. 3 laps.

Ladies Trike - Ladies of all ages on any size 3-wheeler. 3 laps.

Kids Trike - Mini trikers on mini trikes. This class is open to those up to age 12 on 125cc and small machines. 3 laps.

If you have any questions, please post them up.

Yep. Bring it, run it! You will rock that class on it. It is a fun class to race. I have done it on my 200S a couple times. That's where I cut my teeth in trike MX.

    Jason,

Bill (Keister) and I talked and I think we agreed on mid sized suspended. Are you OK with this? Not sure where else he would fit in with that particular bike.

    Reply with your opinion please.
