Symphony Of Construction - Project "FunTen"

Just like the end of any good rebuild comes the dawning of another. I recently finished my Tri-z and prior I spent time looking for something new to build. Just so happens this sucker was local, and darn near free. I have spent to much time looking at Mike's (shortline10) builds. They have consumed my almost complete internet usage! Haha. Honestly though, it's been a definite inspiration.

Project "FunTen"



Tires look to be mint... for the round file that is.


Someone graciously removed a lot of parts and let it sit outside for a LONG time.


Exhaust header all but gone.


The only real usable piece to this puzzle.

Plans for the build :

Aftermarket frame
Complete 110 motor rebuild with rocky bigbore piston kit
rocky aftermarket cam
rocky intake
22mm Mikuni Carb
SL tranny shaft conversion to remove hi-lo gear box
SL manual clutch conversion
Aftermarket front end
Aftermarket exhaust
Aftermarket rear axle.

Started to gather goodies for this one too.










And the correct tools for teardown!

looks good i spend lots of time looking at shortline10's builds too. ill be keeping an eye on this one.

Jeff, the one I had a motor from was an 85. I believe it fits your year.....

Anyhow, I'll have to dig around but I know I had the CDI cover Airbox, other odds and ends.

You can have anything I find.

GOOD GOD JEFF............... if this THING turn's out like your TRI-Z ....... OMG !!! let me know what's needed in Stainless and 6061 !!! there is NONE of those thing's down here ... like the 350-x's !!!!

This looks like it's going to be a sweet build it's looking a lot like a shortline10 already with such high quality.

i have the same piston, going to be doing a similar build on my 110 soon. race ya when we are both done, lol hahahaha =P that would be sweet though

Hope you got the correct clutch plates , The sl90 are different than the atc's.
