    intake side, cracked.. rod let go and shatterd the skirt on the piston ,, piston tipped and cracked the skirt....bikes like these are not bought,, but built!

    new intake boot .. doing away completely with the boost bottle and the yz250 intake is the perfect match.. and the carb boot is a strait intake , unlike the angled 490 intake.

    Ya I thought so Steve,, the Cylinder should be back home, here tomorrow,, every bearing and seal,, in the whole bottom end will be new, along with the rod,, ect.. goodies should be rollin in here shortly..

    Lovin it!! Allot of it screams Ronnie which is great!

    I remember seeing it blown up at TF 08, it's been awhile but worth the wait!

    Why didn't the nicasil it for ya??

    if it wasnt for Ronnie .. I would have never built this bike..

    not shure why they didnt coat it ..thats ok they didnt charge me,, and I didnt ask questions, The piston will be ceramic coated anyways.. wish I had the money to build it all at once and Quick,,just so I could jet it before the cold weather hits.

    It appears your cylinder has an iron sleeve, and it would just be overkill to nikasil it. That's probably why they didn't coat it. Did you want it nikasil coated?
