Bryan, is there any way you could measure the inside next to the slide area and see if its a true 41.5mm for me? I've heard conflicting reports on what size it actually is from sudco. Most shops can only bore them to 40mm because of the fixed needle jet venturi.

How about the actual bore diameter in the slide area? I know you can make them 41.5mm on the reed side of the carb, just wondering about the slide area to see if its a true 41.5mm carb or just a taperbore.

Confirmed 41.5mm.............. and as far as taper bore,, yes the intake side is taperbored...see how close it is to the brass pin.

Your on the right track. What I'm meaning though is if you can get a measurement inside where the throttle slide moves up and down and see if that is 41.5mm. From the bored ones I've seen they taper from 41.5mm on the reed side down to 40mm area where the slide is. Just seeing if sudco does it that way.

I sent my PWK39 to Jason Hall to be bored to the maximum......I never measured it, however he told me it came out to almost 41.75. Its right at the edge on the slide. Runs perfect with out a problem.

    40mm vs. 41.5mm = 7.6% difference in area.. The 8% difference going from a 38 to a 39.5mm is noticable even on a 250.
