Looks like that thing would be a blast in the dunes light weight, 2 stroke. The 2nd link said they could slide it sideways at 60mph looks deadly and cool! perfect!

It looks pretty cool. I wonder how sturdy that frame really is? That's about 15 minutes away from me here. I don't know how that would be on woodsy trails though. Wouldprobably be a blast in the big sandbox though.

Those tri-carts look pretty cool. Wonder if anyone on here has one. I'd think they would be extremely rare. No way I would jump one.

I found alittle info on them and some videos from this link http://www.6x6world.com/forums/other...tricart-7.html I bet you could build something like this pretty easy,Snowmobile engine would be sweet! im not to crazy about the steering if i was going to build one it would be something you sit in and steer with a wheel prolly a roll cage well i guess that would just be a go cart then

Yeah, that's my Tricart which is the subject of the linked 6x6world thread. I have 2 Tricarts and 1 each of sister models Tricub and Minicub. Sperry also built a 6x6 amphibious atv called the Wedge, which is how I initially discovered the 6x6 forum.

    Tricart factoids...
    - Built by SPD (splinter division of Sperry Rand) about 1970-73. SPD was a actually division of New Holland of farm machinery fame who was a division of Sperry.
    - 12 hp JLO L230 2-stroke engine or 8 hp Briggs
    - ~40 mph (JLO)
    - 16x14.50-6 rear meats
    - 1-piece fiberglass frame/body... very rigid and solid. I don't know what you's have to do to it to break it.

Very rare and extremely cool looking! I read the article with the original inventor/builder and enjoyed it very much. Doesn't put Honda in a very good light though. The tires on the 6 x 6 look like the same balloons on the US90. Wonder if there are any 6 x 6 Tricats out there?

Man, do those ever have the 70s look, I think they're sweet! Good luck on your sale and thanks for the info on those very unique trikes.

The inventor of the ATC stated that's where he got the idea for the tires...
