RIP Trace.. Godspeed.
16,600 and still going.I bid on it and was shocked to see I got outbid in minutes-WOW.Good luck to the seller, he is a member here.It appears he either owns/owned a dealer or is a hardcore collector-which ever he must be sick to sell this.He is liquidating all the stuff he has? It appears he has quite a large amount of rides in the garage.

My guess is it will sell before the auction ends.It won't be long and he will be offered a crazy amount of money. Most of the rare stuff that hits ebay ends that way.I always mark stuff like that and it is usually gone quick and you never know what it goes for.Either a rich collector or if it is a made in Japan machine it goes back there. They buy them back for there museum. Can't wait to see what it goes for.It would fund alot of projects in the future.Hope it doesn't have to be sold because of money problems. That would be awful to lose something like that for that reason.
That looks like the same Honda from page 6 from november dirt wheels. HHHHHMMMMM??????? Am I right, or did someone already mention....

First let me say I did not read this entire thread, so if this has been said I apologize. But I can't stress enough that this R should stay in the crate. I know, some of you say you couldn't stand to see it and not ride it. But this is history. Let's say you had the cash to buy it. You bring it home, uncrate it, fill it up with fluids and take off. Yeah, it's awesome, your very own brand new R. But guess what ? That brand new R you just paid $20k for is now worth about $5k. A few more rides ? Nothing more than a really nice R. You can buy cherry Rs all day long. But this is a story.....This is history. Example: I have a red 84 T-3 sitting in my shop right now. It belongs to a friend of mine. It is 100% original, factory tires, chain, brakes, right down to the antifreeze in the radiator. It is mint. People love to look at it, and it always is a conversation starter. But imagine if it were still in the crate. People would drool over and offer ridiculous money for it.....see my point ?

I totally agree. keep it in the create. Its a frozed piece of time that you will never get back once put together. I hope a big named honda shop gets it or someone that will just put it on display.

Andy I won't ask what you paid for it, but are you hoping to turn a profit or just get your money back?
