    What material were these made from and how did they mount to the forks? There seems to be limited information on these, save for vintage photo's.

    I don't know if this counts, but I think these # plates did share some similarities with a porterville foil.

    Don't mean to offend anyone. just never liked them. Tested one back in the day and my lap times were no quicker and my sight picture was enough different it was not comfortable. Just my 2 cents.

    I could not possibly agree more !! I Loved most all of Johns work,,and the idea here was right. Just wasn't my cup of tea!
