i had the spedo on the sled in the 90s before it broke dont know if it was accurate but if the trike has a 3rd of the weight it should go faster than you would want to go on a hard tail personally i think thats a good thing

the tnt was 30 hp because the tnt had a diferent carb than a normal 399 it revs up to 10000 rpm many grassdrag sleds have used this motor with moded headers

Not to mention that the YT doesn't have a front cradle. The motor is under the seat mostly.

And the fact that due to carrying three massive chunks of something that makes boulders look like Jenny Craig, you're probably going to top out at about 25 mph with the 399.

I really, REALLY, really, wouldnt even try to put THAT in THERE(yes, that IS what she said). I think you're trying to show me up on the whole deathtrap ideas.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

iv actualy been planing this for a long time and yes it has points i put much stronger springs when i rebuilt the motor 3 years ago if you think it will only go 25mph youve been smoking some thing look on youtube and see what these motors are capable of on a 450lb sled it dosent mater that the front cradle of the frame is gone its going to be rebiult with square tubing to fit the motor ive seen dune buggy with a 340 go fast let alone a 399 in a striped down trike its not going to be a death trap eather
the motor and the rear end both have brakes and it wont be intendid fo rough roads just for running flat out on graded roads
