Talking with Pete from Powroll yesterday and he has a project that we never got to race because of a rule change. It's a XR 80 built to look like a Mini-Me 200x. I don't remember it too much about it, but it has small low profile 200x style rear fenders, even has the plug to make more. I told him to get me pics of it and I'll post them up. If it sounds like something you would want and I'll get you a price on it.Or you can try calling them your self.

Doug did a lot for the sport, worked harder then anyone to get it to the level it did. He also paid a high price from a lawsuit many years later because of a stupid Dad and his son. Some how they said because my son Cory (his grand son) beating him at a San Jose national on the last lap caused the kid some kind of mental problems.

Tad made it very hard for me because we raced motor cycles for so many years he knew how I got good hole shots and he would trick me on purpose. If you watch the Youtube Sana Cruz race you will see me jump,it happen a few times before I changed my old ways.

Just a little praise to God for my arm finally being healed. There were a few naysayers about not paying the $15,000 to fix it by the "specialist",but I just felt it would all come together in the end,so happy day!

The bad news is I had fell backwards into a hole on to the corner/end of a 12 inch beam I was replacing in my old barn 5 years ago,all though I never had a MRI of it the doctors said I tore a mussel in my back. Well it has bothered me when ever I do too much work that requires movement of that spot, and for the past two week I had a job that had to be done that used that mussel so much that I just took a lot of Motrin trying to get it done. I didn't realize how far I pushed myself to get the job done, but I messed myself up pretty bad. Long story short when they were taking x-rays last week of my back I had them take one of my arm too since it had not been done in the past 6 months. So that was great news, just haven't been able to work or even type for the past 10 days.

Too much polishing is what really does me in.

That's great news Mickey. That looks healed to me. My back gives me fits every day and this office job is going to kill me. My back feels it's best when I am on my feet. That motor looks real nice. I bet it's quick too.

    Thanks

I'm ready to go in for a MRI,I just hate putting the money out for these things but I haven't worked in 3 weeks so I have to go find out what's all going on for sure.

Mickey, I've enjoyed reading these last 15 pages, because as a kid (I was 10 in '83) I was a huge fan of all the Team Honda racers. As a retired paratrooper, I know what it's like to have a bad back, as well as bad knees; take care of your back and do what you need to get better. I found that full body massages help a lot and go once per month. My back isn't 100%, but I can ride again, which is a lot more than I could do two years ago. I look forward to hearing more stories from the old days. I did have one question for you: were there ever any pro races between trikes vs quads? I've looked all over YouTube but came up with nothing.

The reason I was your big naysayer was the down time ! That looks great !!! If you can find a OMT. Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. That will free your back up BIG time. Not saying to not get it MRI'd. But a true OMT is the hands of God. Chiropractor, but a actual DR. And they do it all by soft tissue, very rarely twist or snap. Was gonna email ya,but this is easier lol. Back injuries suck the most. I remember almost crying for years when I woke up because I had to bend down to the ground to get my clothes.. Feeling much better these days . I'm sure you've tried heat and ice ? I feel for ya...
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!

Glad you enjoyed reading all this craziness.

Massages worked good when I was going to a Chiropractor, but it only lasted a few hours. I know have a inversion machine that works just as good or better.

Once I started racing quads in 1987 I never race 3 wheelers again. For me I can't even ride Motorcycles like I did after racing 3 Wheelers either.

I have been dealing with this for over 5 years, but now because when it started hurting this time I had to try and work through it by taking a lot of Motrin for 3 weeks. Now I hurting bad most of the time even after doing little or nothing for 5 weeks.

I went to a new doctor yesterday but he thinks it's just a rough bone or a bone spear rubbing and cutting the mussel. He wants to wait another 3 weeks. But he doesn't want me to do anything in that time and I just can't stop work again and pay bills. I don't think there are too many of us self employed people that can stop working 2 months and still pay bills. My retirement all ready took a big hit in 08',so I can't take any more of that.

As a mechanic I want to find the problem and fix it. In 3 weeks if I don't get better(and it won't for reasons already stated) he will order a MRI.
