I have a new starter kit from Goki for my 350X engine. I am finally clear of work enough to begin the install.
Anyone got any tips to make the install go smoother?

Make sure your decomp. works properly..It may have just been my machine, but it wouldnt crank it over very well unless i slightly operated the kicker and engaged the decomp. Also,if you have to sweat on the ring gear,do not freeze/chill the flywheel, i found room temp worked best, because the cold shock would cool down the ring gear so fast it wouldnt go on easily. Otherwise,it was pretty straight forward. Good luck man !!!
NICE QUAD !! WHY THE EXTRA WHEEL ???
ok thanks. How did you get the flywheel out? the puller just will not bring it off the crank. The clutch keeps slipping.
You need an impact to work on these.
I don't know if this will help but there is some install help at the bottom. The pictures have gone the way of the buffalo but the write up is still there.

great thanks all. impactwith a little tapping on the tool then it popped off. now working on pressing ring gear on. not all the way on so gonna work on it more tomorrow.
looks like there still is a small gap on the ring. Is this normal? I can not squeeze it down any further the studs have stripped. Also, i am missing the wire shield.
Wish I could help with your questions but thought I would share that my 85 350X has the Goki Starter, it was installed when I bought it. You might want to use a higher amp battery if you can fit it. Like mentioned above, I push down my kick start lever just enough to engage the decompression then it turns it right over nice. I love it! Greatest option yet for us older folks with arthritis! Mine has the Honda 250ES light/on/off/starter switch that looks nice, just push the start button like the Big Red! Some people think I'm telling stories when I tell them I own a 350X with electric start! Be sure to use a case saver, Tim

I like how FlyingW used his parking brake to attach it to the decompression so you don't have to fiddle with your kickstarter.. I really like the battery in the airbox so you don't have to attach a battery box. If you have any questions pm FlyingW at 3wheeler.org..

1. Goki sent the missing part overnight and thanks to them for responding so quickly.
2. I have completed the install, except for the battery I will attempt to start today.
Got it working and starts the bike. But the gear shifter sticks down or up depending on the shift.
You should make a video of starting it I've never seen a goki starter actually work
The starter motor spring/gear broke when i tested at the track. Goki shipped overnight a replacement and I will test out again this week.
