There was a thread started a while ago about everyone getting together to ride at Gopher dunes. So who wants to go??? Lets pick a date and get together, either that or another Ganny run??? or maybe an Ambrose lake is in order??? I've heard some good things about Baldwin as well

You know I'm up for it. I hit the Balbwin area several times a year , and get out to ambrose also. If anyone wants to do the Baldwin trails I found a place that has pretty good size cabins at a very good rate that i have rented before. I would have been there this comming week but the Mrs is going on a trip. Will be up there not long after TF.

Are you talking about Ambrose Lake near Rose City? If so I probably could get away for a Saturday. That is not far from me. With my wife and I having custody of our grandson, I can't get away for much longer than a day.

I think we might have to split this thread up, lol. I'm very interested in doing Baldwin, Curt. What does a cabin cost for a weekend? Or is it better to go for a longer stay? I want to keep August open for Roger's ride. Mrs. Tapper would never talk to me again if we mist that one, lol.
Just going threw the weekends, and it seems that there isn't enough for the summer months, lol
Lloyd, it's good to hear from you! Yes I was referring to the Rose city/ Ambrose Lake area. We headed in another direction last year, we just got to the good riding area and someone had to have a tire mishap, lol (sorry to all that was there, thanks Curt for helping me out!)

Alright the new guys in..throw a date and place. It's all the same to me since I have never been to any of these places. Ganny excites me, but only because I have never heard of the others!!
Plus this way, my brother can go..he lives near TO and doesn't have a passport.

this is the place I rent riversedgelogcabins.com But there are several places that rent cabins in the area as well as hotels and 2 camp grounds that I know of. Almost all of them you can ride from the parking lot to the trails. There is a 41 mile loop there that is kinda like the rose city/Ambrose trail but with more veriety of terain. 2 other groomed trails one is 40 miles the other is just under 20 miles all these connect the groomed ones you can run almost wide open on. Also a 4th trail called tin cup lots of street travle to get to but legal to do there as long as you have a working head light and tail light. I'm willing to go up early and get us all a cabin /cabins if other folks decide to do this.

I have ridden the baldwin area trails a couple of times with I-trike.some of the best riding I have ever done outside of glamis.some trails are 6th gear pinned for 20 plus miles and some wind though some amazing scenery.the places to stay are reasonable and are very cool.the orv sticker is only like 16 bucks and good all year.all in all a great place to ride.count me and my son in on any ride.

When i get the cash to get my Big Red up and running again i would be down for trying Gopher Dunes as the Big red is not registered and i got no passport.

What about doing a Baldwin ride on the July 1 weekend? I'll have to Talk to the Mrs. to see her thoughts. Leave Thrusday after work, ride Friday, Sat, and part Sunday.
