    I did check the valve, and it seemed to be working. (Off was off and ON was on, but I think reserve is plugged.)

    I talked to a local guy that has worked on several, and he said that sometimes on a machine that has alot of miles the needle will vibrate and mess up the seat. I will try to rebuild it first, and if all else fails just go buy a 300 carb.

    Went and picked up the parts I took down to Little Rock for powdercoat today, everything looks excellent! This thing is going to look better than showroom...

    I used some spray can engine enamel that I got at an auto parts store.

    Thanks for all the comments, I'll have an update as soon as I get some more time to work on it. I'm taking Chemistry and Calculus this fall and it's taking up most of my time, so I havn't been able to get anything done in a while. This is definatly going to be the nicest thing I've ever built, and it really really sucks that I'm not keeping it.....but I have even bigger plans for another one down the road.....
