New England Ride??

sorry for last minute post, but i'll be riding in Clough State Park tomorrow. Planning a noon assault and just rip for a few hours. Good trails. Thought some of my fellow old/slow NE boys might join. I got a group of 4 now. Its SX/Big Red country.

have fun Dan! by the way, the bigred ate it up no problem. Alittle bulkier but very similar to the sx expierience! Front end is where i would say is the most noticeable. But the 25 inch rubber is dreamy for crawling over boulders!

So what's the skinny... what's it like there?

solid. starts out with some powerlines. then there is a sucky water crossing right off the bat. Worst part of the ride. Then its really good. lots of tight, windy trails with high banks and nice soft base. you can really work the trike. lots of climbs and descents. a few sections of serious whoops that are sandy. there is also a sand pit, but its nothing fantastic. overall, i prefer hellhole, but its right up there. i really like it!. i prefer it to pisgah. It a nice loop as well, so its not an out and back. 24.5 miles total, but it feel longer. I do wish it had five more miles, but I was smoked at the end of the day. it has a race track feel and with the banks and loose base you can carry a lot of speed through the turns. Its tight, so you rip through the trees. its a must ride for all you old/slow New England guys.

try bear brooke and pawtuckaway state forest in the deep winter months.....nothing like it. blast high speed corners like a pro..... and be the few that can tackle the ice hill to the fire tower. )

its right out the back of your house. although i think they paved that section and made it a walking trail.
