Question Kawasaki KX60 and KX80 Conversion

Back in the day when my father was racing trikes, I remember a few of these running the tracks. I was a little guy with big dreams to be like my dad. However, instead of getting a converted Kawasaki, my dad bought me a Tri-Zinger.....Which I still have.

Anyway, I have searched the archives and have found some great info. and pictures on this site. Now to my question...................

I know there are a few people who built cutom trikes for thier kids (And themselves..LOL), but has anyone produced a kit for the rest of us to use? Is there anyone out there that will do a conversion for a guy like me who couldn't fabricate a paper plane?

It would be killer if someone could make the conversion kits....TCP???

You might be able to get an R-55 and convert it to use a KX60 or KX80 engine...

I kinda doubt that. The laydown motors are a structural part of those frames and a KX motor is not nearly the same.

    dcreel...Awesome article!

Someone needs to step up and make us aout 50 or so kits? It sounds easy, but I'm sure it would be a pain.

Once you figure out how to do it, then put it to an assembly line, then it's pretty straight forward.

Hell, if I had the funds, machining and welding experience I would probably have a crack at it.

I think the biggest issue is either making, or finding a swingarm that will fit into a KX65 frame. Then either custom machining triple trees, or finding ones that will work. You could probably get away with the KX65 suspension components.
