Will 400ex hubs fit on 300ex spindles?

I am not a quad guy, so I dont know if this will work... But I am looking to mate 400ex hubs, onto a set of 300ex spindles... Will this work?

I stuck warrior front hubs on a buddys blaster once so he could have front disk brakes.

You will find that most quads use the same front hub bearings. the only main problem is the rotor might be spaced or located differently between models....but thats a easy fix.
