The layout looks great! It will be fun this year. Rumor has it that someone has been working with you and Mike and you guys are hitting some decent jumps!! Maybe you'll be trying the triple??????

Looking at the map, this would be a good destination for those in souther MO or Indiana as well as SE Ohio. For all the times I hear " I wish they had racing like that near me", I am amazed at how little response there is when MX trike racing comes to fruition in other areas.

You don't have to be a seasoned MX racer or mega jumper. If you can ride all the way around the track, and roll all the jumps, you are qualified. You don't have to have a "race trike". A beginner on a 200X adds another trike to the line, and peaks interest from other in the same boat. We periodically have 110/125's racing with OTC. The idea is to put on a show for non-triking spectators and have a good time while doing it. Nobody cares that you look like a professional racer. One you make it to the starting gate, there is nothing left to prove. It is by a miracle sequence of events that trike racing is even available to anyone. Don't have the regrets of not having been a part of the fleeting opportunity while it lasted.

I was talking with Joe from ATVondemand today and he said he went up and checked out the track last week. He said it's the best it's ever been, and from what he's seen, every jump there is forgiving. Even if someone doesn't jump a whole lot, the entire track can be rolled. And just in case someone hits one harder than they wanted, unless their suspension is total crap they shouldn't feel it that much. To me it looks like even a 200x would have fun there.

rray Just a thought: Running a Craiglist ad or local public internet site for free might catch the eyes of some local interest. Raffa did this in NY for the AirMX race and 2-3 guys made it out to run and some guys just showed up to watch. I'd like to make it down this winter, just need to find a second rider(which I'm working on). My wife hates me riding/racing alone when I'm not local...just incase, ya know.

This would be alot to ask...but do you think the Promoter and Owner might do a 1time waiver or weekender Membership? Say $10 instead of $25 or a possible 150mile discount? Tim Sr was very instrumental in negotiating ways of releaving fees of this nature. It provided an incentive to on the fence frist time racers or the one and done racer who travels to the Event. It's alot to ask...I'm not sure how you'd ask, or go about asking. I might ask Sr for some advise to the question. Do you want to be astablished and then ask; or work from the start(1-2races) to establish enough interest to create a full series(of yearly members). Not trying to stir the soup on this idea. I'll keep an eye for the dates the general public seem to agree with to commit.

I'm not sure if this would work or not, but I wonder if anyone who's interested in going e-mail Nikki and ask her if she could work with them on the fees, maybe 2 or 3 e-mails might convince her to work with those traveling a great distance. Racing isn't cheap, by far, but they LOVE to see us up there, and if we could get at least 5 or 6 on the gate it might get them to start working with those traveling 150+ miles. I know it's 250 miles for me and I think 100 more for Jeff.

It's 325 miles for me. About 5 1/2 hours. The Jan date is out, Tim sr and OTC guys have the CRA banquet that weekend. Anyone interested in the feb or march date? I'll email Nikki and see what we can do about the membership fee.
