No, No, and No. About the only thing a Xpress could beat a banshee in would be working or an extremely low traction situation. A skilled rider can get a banshee moving faster in the woods then one of those tanks ever could go.

My 400L Sport frequently beat Banshee's - that was after some minor upgrades though - Aaen Pipe/silencer (7hp), 38mm TMX flatslide carb, Boyesen Radvalve, Wiesco piston, Uni-filter, Renthal sprockets (up one tooth c/s) and an Aaen dual angle Helix/spring kit. The guys I used to ride with all had either Banshees or LT-R's and they used to call me "The Banshee Killer". The only machines that ever beat that dam n Polaris were a Zilla and a Toomey Piped Banshee.

That Express wouldn't have a chance if the person on the Banshee knew how to ride at all.

Don't be fooled by the 400 polarises. Anyone see the article in Dirt wheels a month or two ago, about the worked 400's? They were really fast, and scary, but nonetheless fast. Pipe, carb, reeds, mild porting, clutch and piston. Plus the work was really cheep. Cheep enough to where you would have moeny left over after buying a new 400, with all that work, and still have a tad left before you reached the MSRP of a Banshee. Find a nice used 400 for like $3,000, put in $1,000 and you have one sierious machine. What exactly is an xpress anyway? Stock for stock though, the Banshee should be just about any Polaris as of now.

Nobody said they did not have potential. A snowmobile drivetrain with a low state of tune motor is extremely easy to wake up with mods and make into a screamer. A stock xpress 400 has nothing on a banshee though.

    i've beat it before.

yamaha250 is my friend and my other friend with the express the one he's talking about had a drag race in this feild and i had a 6speed yamaha warrior and i rode a whillie all the way in forth gear to the finish line and he was like 10 to 15teen feet behind me so yah a polaris express can barely beat a riding lawnmower in low.
