ok, so you loosened the lock nut and 'unscrewed ' the adjuster bolt
until you felt resistance and then backed off 1/4 turn?
I THINK that's the way it goes.

That adjuster bolt is reverse threads so when you loosen it, it presses on the
chutch actuator stuff and wants a little free play.

I have one that locks up when it's hot and have heard that
some people have had good luck using oil specific for wet clutch motorcycle engines.

I costs more but might just help altho I have to admit I just buy cases of 10-40 for all the stuff on the farm.
No prob with 10 honda trikes in over 10 yrs other then the 110 with the sticky clutch
but it was like that when I got it and no,
I didn't take my own advice and use the right oil.

so?? yours just always wants to creep forward, even at idle?
Are you sure you're in neutral?
Those should have a neutral indicator unless it fell off. It's a little white cap on a shaft somewhere near the
shift lever that sticks out of the case.

Sometimes the shift drum stopper can get loose but it's more common on a 125.

Is this trike new to you? oops, I guess you did say that.

did it happen all at once or just got worse over time?
Did it ever work correctly that you know of?

I would have guessed that you just arent in neutral.
turn the puppy off and get it in what u think is neutril and see if it will roll on its own as you push it. if so then you know its in N and then start her up and see if it continues to creep forward. if it does still THEN go through the work adjusting the clutch.

Ive adjusted the clutch many times and it does not seem to make any difference the bike is only creeping when in gear it will not stop and idle in gear it wants to move forward if you stop it, it stalls i took the clutch cover off and noticed the spring was gone so i found one for it still made no difference the bike had been siting for over a year and i had to replace some electrical parts because it had no spark i just got it going and changed the oil i used 10w40 honda GN4 the bike is a "barn find" great shape previous owner says its been a year since its been run but who knows.. could the clutch plates be sticking together? would that make it creep in gear?

They very well could be. You could try to take the clutch apart and free them up. That might be all it needs.

Get the bike nice and warmed up and keep pressing down / up on the gear shifter till it frees up . By pressing down on the shifter and reving the motor at the same time its like using a manual clutch and disengages the clutch till it frees up eventually . Also make sure the clutch is properly set .

soo...? pressing down and Holding the shifter down and revving.

Why do I keep forgetting that?
I remember letting OFF the shifter slowly so it's like slipping the clutch.
Great for push starting these things for sure.

I guess it's been so long that I had to drag or roll start one I forgot about that very
    cool feature.

    Thanks for the reminder. shortline

i know what you mean by pressing down on the shifter and reving i can remember doing that as a kid haha but soon as a shift down it moves forward and will stall if not revved right out.. I took the clutch cover off and how exaclty do you remove the basket i took all of the blots out that would look like theyd be the ones that hold the basket on and could not budge it.. do i need a puller or should it slide off?

I'm just going by memory here, but if you took all of the basket bolts out then the disks should all slide right out if I'm not mistaken. They're probably stuck in there and that's your whole problem.

Should have just road the bike around till it freed up the way I explained it . Well now that the clutch cover is off you have to remove the two philips screws and cover on the face of the clutch to get to the clutch nut which also takes a special tool . After the clutch is removed their is a large snap rin that holdes the plates in the clutch housing . A little HARD thinking and a large C clamp will remove the plates . Have fun !!!!!

    Hi,
Are you able to get to the 'search' key?
or manuals in the 'world class help' section?

I've not been deeper than the clutch cover.
IF you need the special tool, it sure looks like some sort of
10$ special thing but pretty sure I've heard that it's for taking off the flywheel
on the other side of the engine. and looks to be reverse thread.

I'd love to have a list of reverse thread bolts on these things.
Sorry to add more questions instead of answers but maybe someone will chime in
if only to make fun of my incompetence.

I wonder why your spring was missing?
    which one exactly?
    bikebandit.com has expanded diagrams btw.
Did you happen to find any other loose pieces in the mix?
or was someone already in there and took out the busted spring?.
