'85 vs. '86 250r forks / shock

What are the differences. Is there a compelling reason to use one year over the other?

The 86's had 1 progressive spring and the 85's used 2 springs in the forks. The 86's are better with the single progressive spring, they handle better and ride better in my opinion. The rear shocks are the same...
