Also do you think this BR is worth $675? That is best he would do on it.

If the Big Red runs good, doesn't smoke, and the fenders aren't cracked it is a good deal. Check the inside of the gas tank for rust and such too.

i def think that the sx is worth 300 if it runs good. looks like you need to bring a jump pack with you to start it though. pick it apart and you might get him lower.

Funny no one said to get 'em both.

But seriously, I'd figure out how to get it running beFORE I put any $ into it.
Make sure the timing chain isn't slapping and that it has all 5 gears plus reverse,
then you almost can't go wrong.
And everything else should be an easy/cheap fix.

If the bigred actually works, you can't lose.
Rear differential should have clean gear oil in it.
    Not old chocolate milk wateroil.

I ALmost bit the dog on one.
The pan under the engine had been packed with mud or salty beach sand and the
frame tubes were rusted almost all the way thru.
Typical pain fixes are timing chain, rear differential, swing arm bearings,
rusty tank, and make sure it has all gears.

Be careful, you may just wind up with 3 or more!

    Absolute worse case?
Parts are worth $ and even tho I hate to part ANY of them out,
it's a good way to gauge catastrophic financial loss.

    I got a 125m for 100$ with 3 new tires.
Turns out the trans case is broken internally so it needs an engine?
or sell it for the tires and gas tank etc. No real loss other than sadness for the trike world.

Get them both. that sx has an es engine and most likely an es differential too. So it will be SLOW. Ask Hillbilly200x. LOL
