From the pics, the only thing that comes to mind is too many bends. Plus the 2 hard 90 turns don't help. I would try a soft 90 coming out of the 45* and then 3" pipe from there. Can't say that I have done that before, just speaking from my HVAC back ground with air flow. Is your air box completely sealed off so the air is coming in just the PVC pipe?
How are you figuring it's starving for air?
I'm using 1 1/2 PVC and backed my a/f screw out 1/2 turn and it runs perfect.
I'm using the same 1 1/2 PVC for my 08 big bear 400
Had to go up on the pilot and main jets to get it right, so not sure how you're starving the 250 for air.
well i was gonna ajust the screw but i cant find it, i was in a rush so i just need to look it over better but i think the prob is the air/gas mix screw

Great Vids. I really enjoyed dwatching some good old fashion muddin
Quite obviously when you change the air fuel ratio an engine in receiving your going to have to adjust if not re-jet your carb....if not adjusted correctly its a dang good way to damage the engine if ran for too long.
thanks its been real fun it puts a smile on my face again like a little kid jumping in a mud puddle
