It pains my heart to be reminded. Just not financially doable with trying to get a shed built and all. The history and uniqueness of these machnes is so over the top. The best part is, Mr. Nicholson is still alive and well. And there is new information popping up all over the place. It amazes me how much is not known about machines. The whys and the whos and such. OC250r was the first person who really was able to bring a ton of information together in one place on one of the mythical builders of such machinery. It would be nice to be able to bring such info together for the rest of the small builders, and I mean no offense to anyone with the word "small", so please don't be offended. The ingenuity and craftsmanship of these parts and frames and kits is just so cool. From bits like bolt-on swingarm kits to almost complete trikes to complete competition machines. I like mechanical things, and alot of engineering on these machines is just mind blowing.

[QUOTE=Mr. Clean;1076390]Rides like it looks!! RAW BRUTE POWER!!! So after sitting for about 3 years, I put some race gas in it and after about 10 kicks I rode it around the neighborhood. It basically has two speeds..off idle and Wide F Open. The ergonomics are like a drag bike, but it turns on a dime.

    you gotta get some vid...

I kind of noticed that the idle was high. After a carb cleaning you should see a bit more motion in the front tire.

This Bassani is in such good shape I am sure the "twist" is in full effect.

Well Mike, I finally bagged the big Sudco replacement carb and put a stock XR carb back on and fabricated a bracket for the pull cable to attach to. Going to order a K&N tomorrow and change the push/pull throttle to a twist type, and finish up the rear brakes and bleed it. I'm getting closer
