I have a 1985 ytm 225 and i am in the process of putting the motor back together after rebuilding it, i have the bottom end all done but i am having some troubles with the top end. there are some type of seals that go in the top end, but i can not seem to find where they go. i looked in the book and either i am missing its description of it or it does not show it, i imagine it odes say it, but i just could not figure it out. so here are some pictures if any one can help me, much appreciated.

the kit you bought may also fit another machine that requires the other seals/orings. you may not need everything that comes in the kit. The best way is to get the kit then replace what you remove.

well it did have those in it, but i took it apart and i did not take any pictures so threrefore i forget whre they came from

Flip the head over and look closely under the springs..you may be able to glimpse where they go..you would need a spring compressor to remove and replace it. But if you didn't do a valve job you don't really need it.
Hopefully the seals that are in there aren't old and worn..if so it will puff a bit of blue on startup but then go away after a couple minutes. It won't effect compression or engine performance..
If you are concerned about them, go rent a compressor and replace them while the head is off.
