I got a box from Flyingw yesterday with some much needed parts! I will be posting up some more progress photos soon. Flyingw has been very helpful with my carb, answering my questions, and helping me out with lots of parts. I really appreciate how helpful everyone on this site has been. Thank you!

I just wanted to give an update on my progress. I have installed my new handle bars, grips, and dash board. I was treating some rust spots on the frame, but I a now ready to put the trike back together. I hope to have some more pictures of the progress as I go.

Nice work, the trike looks great!
Question....are those stock bars, and if so, where did you get them from?

Those are stock handle bars that I purchased from a fellow member. They were in pretty decent shape when I got them, but I sanded them down and applied a fresh coat of paint on them.

Very nice Dave. Isn't it satisifying to have fresh hardware when putting these things together? It is for me. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Looking awesome!! What did you find wrong in the rear diff? I know in one post you said it was locked up.

The rear differential was full of mud and water. The bearings were rusted to the point that they wouldn't rotate anymore. I bought an All Balls rebuild kit and installed it after thoroughly cleaning every part of the differential. The trike was sitting outside for years (I don't know exactly how many) and the drive shaft boot was damaged and water was flowing directly into the differential. Also, the trike was left outside without a gas cap, so the original gas tank rusted through.

I knew I had a problem with the differential when I took the oil cap off and a fountain of water shot out and hit me.

Wow, well at least you were able to save the diff, the tanks are out there easy enough, still sucks to see one neglected like that though. It sure is fun saving them though!
