86 ATC 250SX restoration/Newer member, just introducing myself.

I found this website while doing a search for ATCs. I have always been a big fan of three wheelers. I have recently purchased a 1985 Honda ATC 200M and a 1986 Honda ATC 250SX (this one needs a lot of TLC), and I am having a lot of fun riding the 200M and working on the 250SX. The last time I had a three wheeler was in 1991 and that three wheeler was a 1985 Kawaskai 160. Right now, I am just looking for parts for a 1986 ATC 250SX and any good places to ride in Florida.

UPDATE!! I am using this thread to show progress of my 1986 ATC 250SX restoration because this post has before pictures of the trike.

    Thanks for replying guys.

I will work on posting pictures today. I have the digital pictures on my computer already, I just need to get them onto the site so you can see them.

The parts that I need for the sx are mostly cosmetic. Here is a list of some of the items that I would like to find: gas tank (need a cap and petcock as well), seat (my foam is no good and the plastic seat base is brittle from exposure to the elements), front fender, rear tail light, rear fender support brackets (ones near the grab bar), and grab bar. The rear end is locked up right now, so I am in the process of taking that apart to see what I will need to repair it. The engine appears to be in really good shape with good compression, but I have not been able to start it up yet (the carb was off the bike when I bought it and the air filter is missing and the gas tank is rusted through).
Any information on parts would be greatly appreciated.

Looking good! The tank looks awesome.

A little quote from my brother when we were restoring our 250SX. (ripped off from Master Card commercials)

    1985 Honda 250SX---$550 dollars
Parts to restore 1985 Honda 250SX---$1,285 dollars
Making something old be cooler than anything you can buy brand new today---PRICELESS!

Hahaha! Keep up the good work!
