    81-82 swing arm ball joints?

    Ok,
got a crazy idea bouncing around my head for a setup for my 81 R. instead of bushings or collars and bearings, why not ball joints? i could see pressing joints into the stock tubes and making the slider ovals where the pivot bolt used to go wider so the studs of the ball joints could pass through so its still adjustable, and making a new 2 piece rear engine mount that would allow the adjustment. made a quick picture, idunno if this is gonna make sense to anyone but me, but i figured I would put it out there. it would also allow angle adjustments and other things for different riding situations. this make sense to anyone else?Click image for larger version.

maybe some captions in the pic with arrows would help but I am not sure what you would accomplish. I think putting sealed bearings in the swinger is the best option.
