You running a shorty lever??? If yes, switch to a full length clutch lever. That will make the clutch easier to pull.

Is the play between the carrier and swingarm, or between the axle and carrier?
Are you sure you aren't mistaking bad swingarm pivot bearings for play in the axle??

I also have the Durablue +4 on mine. I also have ITP rims with more offset than the stock R rims making my R a total of 6" wider than stock.
I rarely "trail ride" my R. I ride almost exclusively on seasonal gravel roads in Lewis County (Tug Hill) where there are long straights and sweeping curves. I absolutely LOVE how my R handles with that wide rear-end!

Hey there and welcome to the site. I see you have started 10 different threads with questions you have about your 250r - for future reference it is generally better to put all your questions in 1 thread if they are about the same bike even if it is different topics....much less clutter.
its the long
yeah i put 10 just to open up the sight lol
yeah mines a 6 to with rims
Get used to the heavy clutch then!! LOL!
It really is a matter of perspective...... To person A, a clutch may seem very heavy, but to person B it may seem fine.
It could also have heavy duty clutch springs in it. That would make the clutch harder to work. Only fix would be to switch to standard clutch springs.
