Yeah I'd rather you guys start with junkers than ones in mint condition. I hate seeing survivors torn up.

Why, so he can spend twice as much making it race worthy? He's not running it through mud pits or launching off of cliffs.

Who cares what he is doing with it. Survivors in mint shape tend to get hard to find unrestored after 30 years.

I'm not knocking Jason's New bike, but it's hardly mint, nice yes, and in my opinion a perfect candidate for a racer. Not to mention most race bikes end up nicer, and stay nicer than they started. Anyways, what the he'll does it matter? It's neither of ours, and you know what they say about opinions.

That's true. I don't own it so I can't tell him what to do. I just don't care to see good trikes get changed.

Hey guy's, first and foremost…. don't let the photo's fool ya. Its far from mint.. Yes it is pretty original but that being said, I've been in my unheated shop the last few nights thrashing to get it ready. So far, I bought a grab bar, handle bars, clutch/brake levers, exhaust, replaced the rear axle cause it was bent.. discovered the original axle and swing arm bearings were roached. Thankfully I've had some parts and know how to do the work… Its a great runner though… And yes when its done it will be in much better shape than it is now. Plus hopefully be a little quicker. Ive sorta given up on nos and vintage parts to a degree.. its strictly a hobby, and i want to see how good i can get with an off the shelf type bike. There are a few other 200x guys near me so I'm looking forward to seeing how it stacks up.

Awesome pic for sure. Not sure who 11X is but I do know he was a privateer and Curtis built his engine. He went on to beat Curtis in that particular race.
